Before You Hit Publish, Grab Your Phone

Issue 08

Today's attendees are mobile-focused.

Many will open an invitation, click the registration link, complete the form, and read their confirmation entirely from their phone.

One simple test
Complete the registration yourself on a mobile device before launch.

Check the questions, buttons, dropdowns, error messages, confirmation screen, and confirmation email.

What looks perfectly clear on a large monitor may feel very different when someone is working through it with one hand on a much smaller screen.

Mobile is changing too
Larger screens and foldable phones mean there is no longer just one typical mobile layout. As the devices attendees use continue to change, event technology platforms will need to keep adapting with them.

You do not need a complicated testing process to catch obvious friction. Sometimes five minutes on your phone will tell you more than another hour reviewing the configuration on a desktop.

That is all. Carry on.
